Chalk the Walk on September 27th

Chalk the Walk SmallChalk the Walk will soon be here! On Saturday, September 27 from 10 am to 4 pm the St. Clair Art Association and the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce will sponsor “Chalk the Walk”. Stop in at the Art Center in Riverview Plaza in downtown Saint Clair and register to get a box of chalkWhistles on the Water Photo from Blue Water Org and create your own sidewalk work of Art! No cost to participate for kids & adults! Click here for photos from past Chalk the Walk events. The same day you can also check out the 6th Annual Whistles on the Water in Palmer Park from 9 am to 6 pm, where you can see and hear the historic whistles.


Chalk the Walk this weekend!!

Chalk the Walk 2013 PosterChalk the Walk is this Saturday, September 28, from 10 am to 4 pm at Riverview Plaza!   Sponsored by the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce and the Art Association.  Come downtown and add to the artwork – chalk is provided.  Featured artists will be Jason Stier, Hunter Erdman, Vicky Path, Todd McCallum and Amy Foster.  While you’re there you can listen to the antique steam whistles from Great Lake steamers and passenger ships sounding off in Palmer Park as part of Whistles on the Water.   A fun time in downtown St. Clair!!

Awards Reception for Seasons in St. Clair!

The Awards Reception for this year’s Seasons in St. Clair competition will be this Sunday, September 30, from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Alice W. Moore Center for the Arts.  The winner of this year’s competition will be announced at the reception and be presented with the first place prize of $1000.  The winner also will have the opportunity to have a solo exhibit at the Alice Moore Center for the Arts.  In addition, the top three finalists will receive an invitation to the 2013 St. Clair Art Fair with booth fees paid by the St. Clair Downtown Development Authority.   


The Seasons in St. Clair competition is sponsored by the St. Clair Art Association Public Art Committee and St. Clair Downtown Development Authority (DDA), with funds provided from the DDA.
